About Me

I am an art lover, a tea drinker, a Mother of two girls, a dog owner, lover of nature and an artist. I enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching British crime t.v dramas. I have lived for the past 17 years in a small rural town in the most southern part of the south island of New Zealand. A big city girl now living a small town life.

I have always had a passion for creating whether it was photography, painting, or crafts. I have spent the last 9 years as a jewellery and home decor designer & maker. I have always painted on and off since I was a child. However for years most of my art was very intricate doodles while I was procrastinating in my jewellery and home decor designing and making. About two years ago I decided it was time to start using the stock pile of art supplies I had accumulated and start painting seriously again. I cleared out a spare room in my house and set up a permanent studio for myself.

I am an abstract painter that works from intuition & emotion, utilising my life experiences to help create my art. I am influenced by music, books, nature and life. I strive to create one of a kind paintings, every one containing a piece of my world and life experiences. I use acrylic paint, charcoal, pastel, collage, posca pen, and pencil. My pieces vary between paper, cradled wood panels, and canvas.
